Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed), and profile information you add.
Buyer applications: the details you submit to a breeder, such as household, experience, and contact information.
Breeder verification: identity documents, registry (TICA/CFA) numbers, cattery details, and optionally a linked Facebook Page.
Messages you send through the platform, records of video check-ins, deposits, and scam reports.
Basic technical data such as cookies needed to keep you logged in.
To run the marketplace: share your application with the breeder you apply to, verify breeders, process deposits, send account and status emails, and keep users safe (for example, flagging messages that try to move payment off-platform and investigating scam reports). We do not sell your personal information.
The breeder or buyer on the other side of an application sees the information needed for that placement.
Service providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments and breeder payouts via Stripe Connect; we never see or store full card numbers), Daily.co (live video check-ins), Resend (email delivery), and our hosting and database providers.
Law enforcement or others when required by law, or to protect users from fraud.
We keep account and transaction records while your account is active and as long as needed for payments, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Identity documents are kept only as long as needed for verification and safety review.
You can update your profile at any time. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on your state (for example, California), you may have additional rights, and we will not discriminate against you for using them.
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. PurrTrust is not intended for anyone under 18.
